Joseph A. Melanson,
CRT, (R)(N), ARRT, NMTCB - Mr.
Melanson has been in the Radiologic Sciences for over 40 years. Mr.
Melanson's experience is in multiple areas of radiography which includes
nuclear medicine, hospital administration as well as a long-standing
educator and program director in a JRCRT Radiologic Technology and Nuclear
Medicine programs as well as California approved X-ray Technician programs.
Mr. Melanson has been active in the advancement of X-ray Technicians
and Radiologic Technologists most of his career. Mr. Melanson has served
as past president for the California Association of Schools for X-ray
Technicians and is currently serving at State level on a sub-committee
for the Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch's Radiologic
Technology Certification Committee (RTCC) for X-ray Technician Curriculum
and Minimum Standards. In addition to his present program director,
teaching and lecturing duties, Mr. Melanson is still an active technologist.
His consistent professionalism and strong ethics is, and will always
be, a model to his students and those within his profession.
Linda L. Ortega, MS, CRT,
ARRT (R)(CV) - Ms. Ortega has
been a Radiologic Technologist for nearly 25 years. Ms. Ortega has advanced
credentialing in Cardio-vascular Interventional Radiography and a specialty
in neuro-interventional radiography. During her career, Ms. Ortega's
imaging experience has also included hospital leadership and administrative
positions. Ms. Ortega's introduction to radiography education began
as clinical instructor with students at hospitals where she was employed.
In 2002, she joined Mr. Melanson (her former radiography instructor
and mentor) as an educator. In addition to her teaching duties, Ms.
Ortega is busy as president of the California Association of Schools
for X-ray Technicians and at State level has been appointed to the Radiologic
Technology Certification Committee (RTCC) which makes recommendations
and oversees the use and education of radiation in the state of California.
Linda is also Chairperson of the sub-committee for the Department of
Public Health, Department of Radiologic Technology, Radiologic Technology
Certification Committee (RTCC) in Sacramento, which is overseeing the
X-ray Technician Minimum Standards. Ms. Ortega also conducts digital
radiography lectures nationally while still being an active technologist.
Ms. Ortega has been working with digital radiography equipment for over
18 years and has been a radiologic consultant for a digital radiography
manufacturer.
Wayne McCullough, CRT, ARRT (R) has been a Radiologic Technologist for over thirty years. During Mr.
McCullough's years in imaging he has had concentrated experience in
the areas of CT, Bone Densitometry and Imaging Department Management.
During most of Mr. McCullough's imaging career he has also been an educator
in X-ray Technician programs and as clinical supervisor of students
in Radiologic Technology programs. Mr. McCullough has had a long professional
relationship with Mr. Melanson as an educator, colleague and former
student. Mr. McCullough is presently the Radiology Manager at a major
Medical Center. |
