Bone Densitometry

JEM Educational Services offers a State of California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch approved program for the Bone Densitometry X-ray permit. This course meets the educational requirements for application submission to take the State of California Limited Permit X-ray Technician Examination (Bone Densitometry Permit) to legally operate Bone Densitometry equipment.

This course is intended for:
A) the California limited Permit X-ray Technician who wishes to add this permit to legally operate Bone Densitometry equipment, and
B) the currently, non X-ray Technician individual in a clinical setting that will be required to do Bone Densitometry procedures.

This 22 hour course will provide the student course instruction in the area of Bone Densitometry to include radiologic physics, anatomy and positioning, equipment operation and radiation safety and protection. At the completion of this core instruction the student will also need to complete actual procedures in a clinical setting.
